Presented below is the Certificate of the final judgement in the case against Dr Carlinho Zassala, handed down by the Court of the District of Luanda, brought by the Church "Mensagem do Último Tempo" and its legal representative, Reverend Pastor Fernando Kamalandua. Having considered all matters, the Court finds the formal accusation against the defendant, Dr Carlinho Zassala, to be well-founded, and in the name of the people of Angola, hereby sentences him to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment for the crime of Defamation.
He is also sentenced to 9 months of imprisonment for Insult and 9 months for Slander.
After the legal accumulation of sentences, the defendant Dr Carlinho Zassala is sentenced to a single term of 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment and to pay Kz. 250,000.00 in court fees.
Furthermore, he is ordered to compensate Pastor Fernando Kamalandua in the amount of Kz. 1,000,000.00 for moral and psychological damages.
The execution of the prison sentence is suspended for 2 years, provided that the defendant pays the compensation within a reasonable period.
An order for release shall be issued upon payment of the financial obligations. Notify, record, and archive.
